This is me. Circa 1994 wearing a Confederate uniform I got at a re-enactment and a beard I grew for the shot. The picture is what I call a digital dag. I used Photoshop to combine my picture with a picture of a dag. Until I can learn how to make daguerreotypes myself I must be content to make digital dags. The George Eastman House in Rochester NY has stopped teaching classes until 2003. I'm still waiting. Someday when my work situation improves I might go visit one of the guys who make them today and learn from them. I can look into the eyes of the vintage beauties, but they can't smile back. So I need to find a living girl.
