New Volunteer Trainings:
- We are always looking for dedicated volunteers with or without horse experience. If you are interested in joining Special Equestrians team, please contact Jaime Laird at volunteer@specialequest.org or call 987-9462.
- Volunteer Training, Thursday February 10th 6-8pm; Saturday, February 12th 9-11am; OR Tuesday February 15th 5-7pm.
- Horse Handler Training, February 12th 11:30-1:30. The Horse Handler Training is for returning volunteers who are interested in helping out with the horses in assisting with grooming, tacking and leading. You should have enough horse experience (including at Special Equestrians) that you are confident about working with them directly.

Gala Dinner Dance Celebrating 25 Years of Special Equestrians Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Cornerstone Farm. Join us for delicious food and dancing, with a Special Performance by the Special Equestrians Drill Team, live art auction, and Silent auction.
The 2010 Dr. Lauren Bourgeois Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Thursday, October 7 at Timberline Golf Club. The 2010 T.H.R.I.L.L (Therapeutic Riding is a Labor of Love) Ride will be Saturday, November 20. We are returning this to the farm of Gates Shaw in Brierfield Farms near Montevallo. We last rode there in 2007 and are looking forward to giving our ride-a-thon participants a chance to again enjoy this beautiful property. See the Ride-a-thon Flyer/Registration Form.
